Quickstart -> Further Steps

Congratulations on completing the quickstart guide. We hope you got a general idea on the various ways you can use Fostrom to build, manage, and evolve your IoT projects.

Let's look back at everything we have setup in our fleet. We added a few datapoint packet schemas to send telemetry from environmental sensors and drones. We added a message packet schema to send alerts whenever a drone finds animals in the wrong zone, and another to send from Fostrom to gate controllers to open or close gates. We wrote an Action to connect the two. We connected the devices to Fostrom by sending heartbeats, and subsequently sending datapoints and messages. We then saw how to receive and acknowledge messages queued in the device mailbox.
